how to set range of x axis

I've tried axis.set(0,1) and also axis.setAutoRange and my data ranges from 0 to 1 but the chart displayed is only going from 0.1 to 0.2

can anyone please drop some hints as to how to get the graph to display the full range?

This is probably a missing layout update. Please try adding a request Layout or add the Datasets to the charts after the chart has been added to the scenegraph.

If you want to set a fixed range, you have to disable autoranging or the configured range will be overwritten when datasets change or are added.
The autoRange property is not meant to be set by the user (except to bind multiple auto-ranged charts).

You can also try to add the EditAxis Plugin, which allows you to interactively configure the axis. If that works you can see in the plugin code how the axis update is triggered.

The situation here is not perfect, especially for slow/never changing data.

Thanks for the education @wirew0rm , I do not know what it means to "add a request Layout" but I did try adding the dataset to the chart after and it was no change in the result. After using the Edit Plugin I see that it must be related to the way I am implementing the DataSet interfaces because the autozoom was working properly after all
