iiuc, Meza is not meant to be run on a server that has other pre-existing
web applications, so I vote for dropping support for things that are not
essential to make meza work in a simple standard way, especially if there
are ways (like symbolic links) that savvy admins and achieve the goal(s).
Right now, in theory, it's possible to setup an alternate install location like
/meza
instead of/opt/meza
. In practice it has issues.Do we continue to support this? Or do we suggest people create symlinks, e.g. create partition at
/data
and symlink it to/opt/data-meza
.It's great to support many options, but it requires a lot of effort and is hard to test.
