Clicking on the highlighted area doesn't close the popover

Clicking on the mask or on the close button closes the popover, but for some reason clicking on the highlighted area of the selector doesn't close the popover.

If I understand well, this is the expected behaviour. However, mind creating a minimal reproduction in a sandbox in order to allow others to debug faster your use-case and try to find a solution as soon as possible? Thanks!
