Can't connect to my homeserver

Steps to reproduce

1. Connect manually.
2. Change homeserver.
3. search and select my actual homeserver
4. Click on continue

Outcome

What did you expect?

Connection successful.

What happened instead?

Error message saying the homeserver is unreachable, wich is false because other matrix apps can connect to it.

Your .well-known/matrix/client contains a reference to https://sliding.tedomum.net/ which I get errors connecting to. Remove that part? A sliding sync proxy is on its way out, anyway.

Sadly, i don't have any control on the homeserver, so the problem seems insolvable.

not sure if that might help in any way coz of missing information what you exactly entered, but i had such error message too. i entered the hostname only instead of https://my.domain.tld

My homeserver is behind a sso, maybe element X is not yet compatible.

There are 2 types of SSO, the "old" one with synapse using directly SSO. This is not supported by Android-X and never will be. The second one is via matrix-authentication-service. Android-X supports either plain old passwords or SSO via matrix-authentication-service.
