Base Image Deletion Restrictions Linked to OTA Campaigns and Update Channels in Version 0.9

To my understanding, up until version 0.9, it is not possible to delete a base image because it is linked to an update channel, which is further linked to an OTA campaign, and OTA campaigns cannot be deleted.
Would it be possible, if the linking is mandatory, for the OTA campaigns to be deleted, allowing us to recursively delete every link in the chain up to the base image? Otherwise, only base images that have never been connected to an OTA campaign can be deleted.
