Enhance Search Functionality in BPDM Pool #781
Comments
Probably, we need a responsible at the BPDM expert group to drive this topic and come of with a minimum set of attributes to search for. @HeyHardy: Could this set (BPN, name, valid from, location (adress, geocode, postalcode, city) already be the minimum set of properties. What is meant by "geocode"? What is meant by "valid from"? |
I will keep this issue open for now but I think it is currently conceptually defined in the linked issue eclipse-tractusx/sig-release#603 . So here we should put more effort in actually defining more technical details in how we want to implement such a search functionality |
The eclipse-tractusx/sig-release#603 will be splitted into two separate issues. Therefore this issue here needs to be refined again what it really covers. |
The eclipse-tractusx/sig-release#603 is now split in one more issue. |
Further clarifications needed from expert group. |
@maximilianong Could you specify what's excatly missing? The eclipse-tractusx/sig-release#603, dealing with the search criteria should be sufficient regarding requirements (we aligned with Nico and Daniel). So here DEV can work on, to my knowledge. |
As a CX Member, I want to enhance the meta search functionality within the Business Partner Data Management (BPDM) pool to:
actual low priority
clear requirements from catena-x use cases needs to be aligned
Implement Advanced Filtering: Enable searching by BPN, name, valid from, location (adress, geocode, postalcode, city)
Support Autocomplete: Suggest terms as users type
Integrate Pagination: Efficiently manage search results display
Enable Sorting: Sort results by relevance, date, or alphabetically
The goal is to improve user experience, ensuring that searches are fast, accurate, and user-friendly
