without changing any default configuration from the starter-with-secrets template

I noticed that dock is not reflected based on what specified here

for example slack is not added to the dock

image

I tried to edit the configuration and run build-switch

but still no changes applied to the dock

App that is being installed is not accessible via Mac spotlight

For example here, Alacrity is not being indexed in spotlight

But I can confirm that alacrity is installed, since here I can access it via launchpad

More

I'm not sure whether I was missing something during the setup,

But I followed all the steps in the doc, and I received no error when running every command

Update

  • I'm not sure what went wrong the first time I setup this, but I reset my Mac again and setup from scratch again the issue with the dock is resolved
  • Nix and Home Manager GUI App still unable to be found in the spotlight, such as Alacritty and Emacs
