I'll add that all text appears darker compared to the GTK3 theme.

you can see that in kate the welcome text is very unreadable and in nheko the login button is completely dark when it shouldn't be
Any updates on the issue? This is a major bug and makes some applications harder to use as you cant actually understand the text. This is an issue with the kvantum theme's color palette or something related to it

It is a bug, and it a wrong color config. If you use qt5ct, set Kvantum as your theme engine, and override the colors with the qt5ct theme (https://draculatheme.com/qt5), that fixes the issue.

Of course, doing that shouldn't be necessary: the the Kvantum theme should behave the correct colors by default.

Hi, this is not an issue from the Kvantum theme but qt colors config, this Kvantum theme is supposed to be use in a KDE environment so it would use the provided KDE assets(colorscheme, plasma theme, etc.), in this case I assume you're using a different DE so the solution is to use a matching color scheme for qt5 apps (https://draculatheme.com/qt5)
