I am using Eddy 1.1.9 as bundled with PopOS 22.04 LTS.

Here is the package in question: Aseprite_1.2.zip

Installing this package on the command line via dpkg worked.

Two things I tried:

  1. Double-clicking the file (or right-click -> "Open with Eddy", presumably both do basically the same thing) causes Eddy to open for about a second and then close with no error message or other indication what happened (and without installing the package, I did check!).
  2. Opening Eddy and clicking "Load from Downloads" gives the same result (when the package is in my downloads folder). So seems like maybe it's failing to read the package at all, not just failing to install it. But idk, I'm not that familiar with the program.
