Option name containing hyphen for slash commands

I referenced some old discussions on how to run slash commands with options (i.e. #379) but I am confused about how to run a slash command, where the option name contains a hyphen between, such as "input-value", since if I attempt to do something like

async for cmd in message.channel.slash_commands(query='i'):
    if cmd.name == 'imagine':
        await cmd(input-value="pong")

it will give an error for hyphens not being allowed as a parameter name. Is there some workaround for this issue or is there another way to run this slash command?
