Prohibit switching channels

First of all thanks for maintaining this great Kodi add-on.
I am facing an issue for quite some time now:

• I chose my favorite radio program from local stations
• Everything works perfectly
• Due to some network/stream issue, Kodi automatically plays the next station in the list
  Effect: Radio plugins "jumps" to radio station I do not want to listen to.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I would prefer if the add-on sticks to a station and tries to reconnect to the same station in case something does not temporarily work.
