do all of the packages we use support this new version?
could make more sense timing wise to do this after @maxphilippov has completed his blueprint removal quest? (If blueprint should make problems, but other packages like react-window could also be problematic, so I wouldn't upgrade react unless there is a really clear benefit to doing so)
