Xenome hangs after running

After running xenome successfully and producing what would appear to be a significant amount of output the program appears to hang with zero CPU usage and no activity of any kind, it's not exiting, ^C is then needed to return the command prompt.

My command-line was:

xenome classify -P mouse_human -T 10 -M 32 --pairs -I 13_TGACCA_L004_R1_001.fastq.gz -i 13_TGACCA_L004_R2_001.fastq.gz --output-filename-prefix 13_xenome
