I can't replicate the issue since I don't have a M1 macbook. Can you provide more information about your system & the error ?

Python 3.9.8
M1 Max
macOS Monterey 12.0.1

I download the zip, unzip, cd to client directory, run sudo python3 main.py, insert password, then get hit with
[1] 29884 segmentation fault sudo python3 main.py
