Clarifying Positive Discrimination

The section Reinforcing Structures of Domination should clarify that it prohibits both negative and positive discrimination that reinforces structures of domination. For example:

• racist comments are a negative form of discrimination, which reinforce the structure of white supremacy
• a discount for veterans is a form of positive discrimination, which reinforces the special status of veterans in our society

Both of these should be prohibited, to create as fair and equal an environment as possible.
