Thanks for reaching out.

  • I'm planning to develop a Python interface this year (I'm on parental leave, back to work in March).
  • Uno mimics the method implemented in IPOPT and the performance is very similar (see here). At the moment we're not quiiiiite as robust (of the 429 test problems we consider, about 10 are solved by IPOPT but not by Uno). There's a small bug I need to fix and there's also a certain number of small tricks that I didn't implement. That said, I have a couple of ideas of how I can improve the IPOPT algorithm and I'm hoping that at some point, Uno will surpass IPOPT. We'll see :)
