bug when going to add full details to create a place

Steps to reproduce

1. create a new event but don't put in all the details needed to save a draft. for example just give it a title but no date
2. add a place that doesn't exist, for example test place, and then open quick create modal to add mandatory details.
   NOTE: If you don't add all mandatory fields in the quick create modal, you cannot proceed to add full details (the button does nothing and the missing mandatory fields are highlighted).
3. Add the mandatory details and then click Add Full Details. A warning appears that you have to add more details before saving the event and a save and redirect modal appears; howver the icon just spins (nothing else happens). THIS IS THE BUG.
4. click the x in the modal to close it. The place is created in PLACES and you remain in the event.
