The schema:DanceEvent is not a performing arts event based on the schema.org description of "A social danse". We should therefore not use it for performing arts events. The Artsdata Event Types should have a different concept like ado:PerformingArtsDanceEvent and one that is not mapped to schema:DanceEvent. If needed, we can map schema:DanceEvent to the top level of ado:Event.

The schema definition is a mistake. A better definition would be the following: Dance performed for an audience. Comment on the deifnition of dance in schema.
