Posting here to ask other users if they have found a fix, not an issue with the configuration. Every distro I have tried, from just works Distros like Pop!_OS to Arch Linux to now what I am using Fedora 39 I often have problems waking my laptop up from suspend after lid close.

Steps to reproduce:
Close the lid, wait anywhere from 5 seconds to 2 days and re-open the lid.

I would say 80% of the time I have issues with the screen not turning on. Sometimes the Num Lock indicator light turns on, sometimes not. I have tried this on both Wayland (Hyprland) and X11 (GNOME and Budgie). I am quite lost and some help would be grealty appricated.

Hi, I had the same problem with my Legion 5 17 2021 (Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3060). I tried Pop_OS, Fedora and Ubuntu and they all couldn't wake up after suspend (black screen not responding to any keystrokes). Somehow though Debian 12 works just fine and problem with suspend is not there.

Maybe it will work for you too.

You can also check your BIOS if the S3 standby mode is enabled on your machine (Lenovo locked the advanced BIOS but I managed to unlock it with this tool) and force your linux distro to use the S3 mode. Many users reported it solving this issue but it didn't work for me.

Change the graphic card driver

Changing the graphic card driver didn't solve the issue for me, nor switching between Wayland and X11 or turning off and on hybrid GPU.
