After speaking people at Sunlight Foundation, they're very interested in linking Daily Treasury Statements up with FAST codes so that this data could be joined to other government spending databases. Info on FAST codes here: http://www.fms.treas.gov/fastbook/index.html

We'll have to investigate the best way to do this and if it can be applied in a standard way on a daily basis.
