Rationale

Enabling machine access through standard S3 API protocols will facilitate easy integration with popular tools, improving automation and efficiency in file access.

Outcomes

  • Enhanced Machine Access

OpenStack Swift's compatibility with the popular S3 API means that applications and services designed for Amazon S3 can be easily integrated with our storage system. This allows for better access to files through automated processes and third-party tools that leverage S3 protocols.
