I'm not blaming, but it would be better if people knew and understand what telemetry is, that blaming Microsoft for collecting your data is not right, they insist on privacy... and what is real data collection... (and anyway with the various legislations, nobody can hide or would risk enormous fines). Microsoft has ads on bing, th renews site, bu the majority is on mostly LinkedIn,... Apple does also a couple bilions selling ads on the Apstore...
1.The name is very misleading and misinformation
2.Telemetry is very interesting to look at
3.Telemetry is in every OS and most apps (even Proton apps), as well as in VSCode extensions
4.Microsoft does not care about your data it's not an ads company, you can see everything in the Diag viewer and they explain their privacy policies in 1 page. SO it's simple, they don't track you everywhere, just if you search a laptop on bing you'll get laptops app....
5. Telemetry is a very powerful tool, which works on aggregation and statistics, not on you... and does some self-healing, you probably would be interested
Everybody can choose to block any traffic, it's a right and people are in charge, it is undeniable. But don't call it spying :/
Issues
Don't feed the current total paranoia and don't spread misinformation
You use blocklist form antiviruses, no other apps send more data for analyzes, and all have telemetry
You block subdomains that are useful
This makes no sense you only block Microsoft
there are plenty of apps doing this, but which blocks real spies, like Google, or apparently Deepl who does a sh**** of calls, I removed the extension...
You see it's not Microsoft you should target... this is a screenshot from AdGuard DNS, with filtering, and usage of other DNS is blocked as much as possible (It's mostly for ads, nobody tracks people personally for who they are, and if you really cannot disclose your identity - it can happen if you are a journalist in some totalitarian country, that risks his life for instance).
Congrats for creating apps, even if don't like the name, I like programming and your project is nice
Thank you.

1.You may think so but alot of us do not
2.Telemetry is wanderfull for the person that gets it, not the one that does not want to supply it.
3.This should not be the norm, the fact that we have been conditiond to think this way is why a normal persn like you post like this.
4.Microsoft is absolutly an ad company, there are ads all over the windows operating system, have you pressed your windows button in a while?
5. Again poinging to number 2
the fact that we need to go to thease lenghts to block microsoft from spying on us and that we cant just press a button that we do not want to share this info tells you who the "bad" guys are here.
