The game already detects when a new update is available and displays the latest version. However, it currently requires manual downloading and installation.
I suggest adding an option in the menu to automatically update the game when a new version is detected. This would make the update process more convenient and enhance the overall user experience.
Thank you for your consideration!

That unfortunately isn't possible, however, i think that adding a link to the github releases when a update notification shos up, or having it in the 'Misc' options menu would be useful, something like the Open Appdata option

Many apps already implement this feature, even on a FOSS level. Dolphin, RPCS3, Yuz/Ryu (before the takedowns), DS4Windows, etc.
Outside of FOSS, even a 2D Fighter Maker 2nd game implemented this feature using a launcher app, and that engine is early-2000s old.
This is absolutely possible, but may take some time and effort to get solutioned for this specific game. I'd rather us say it will take a long time, maybe too long, than to say it's not possible.
