signed up to receive email from blog.comfy.org and within a week I started to receive junk mail from a large list of random ai sources.

Bad look for free and open source project!

I haven't registered for anything in months and am careful about where I do register for things. I use startpage search in brave browser on linux. I don't store logins in the browser and I never 'sign in with google'. I do use a gmail email address, but don't access my email through the browser. Depending on which machine I'm on, I either use kmail or thunderbird to access my email.

I don't mean to be to be disrespectful, that was just my experience.
