Summary
We currently only prompt users to sign up for our newsletter during the account creation process.

With the V2 launch impending, we're planning to re-prioritize the newsletter to build awareness/engagement. To that end, we should add a link to the main site that enables users to sign up for the newsletter.

@mchai1218 - thoughts on where to put the Newsletter?
I think we want it in a few places, potentially:

  1. Footer, under "Resources" (or perhaps a more noticeable spot in the footer?)
  2. Homepage, in the blank spot in the screenshot below, with copy: "click here to sign up for our newsletter"

  3. Somewhere on the "How to Support MAPLE" page (which needs a refresh - https://www.mapletestimony.org/about/support-maple)

Thoughts on how difficult/time-consuming it is to make the newsletter CTA embedded directly on the site? (like in the screenshot below)

Also add to bottom of notification emails

@mvictor55 I want to first raise one concern that, from the content perspective, "Newsletter" and "Newsfeed" are pretty similar. Regarding where to place it, in the footer, maybe under "Account"? In the header, we could either put it under the Account Icon or combine it with "Newsfeed." A newsletter signup CTA makes sense on the homepage as well.
