Open FI$Cal currently contains data from 149 state departments, but different departments' data starts in different fiscal years.

Many departments' first data on the site is from July 2019, but some go back as early as July 2016. A department's data always starts at the beginning of a fiscal year, which for the State of California runs from July to June.

It would be useful for users of the site to easily see which departments have data available in which fiscal year. This could take the form of an interactive visualization or whatever most clearly communicates the information to you.

A really good visualization could find its way onto Open FI$Cal's official site. 😄
