[Aquilla S2 N32] What is the Mesh inset -> Min X/Y & Max X/Y? #174
-
How should they be configured? All I can find on the wiki is that only the Is the Max X/Y calculated for me based on the probe offset already, or do I need to configure it myself? |

so basically the mesh area is used when printing with your probe (BL touch, ect) or without (Manual Mesh). the goal is to be able to have the probe (or nozzle for Manual Mesh) to reach as much as the bed as possible. If you have like a PEI sheet or no bed clips or something that might get in the way you can use the Max setting. Center setting basically just helps center/square it up. Generally, with bed clips, you'll want about 10 or 12mm clearance from the edge or your probe will hit it. All it does is set the mesh area to help you print your "not so flat" bed. You can get away with printing without any mesh adjustments at all, but if you do notice the bottom of prints aren't perfect it can be from an unlevel bed or you may need this mesh setting to help. |

it appears that you should adjust your Probe Offset. possibly your Physical Min/Max. I usually just leave the Min X/Y at 0. the Probe Offset may need to always been adjusted; the default values may be close.
Note
^^ edited the above sentence ^^
but since it looks too far to the right, try adjusting the Probe Offset farther to the left, so IIRC increase the negativity of the number.
Mesh Inset shouldnt really have anything to do with how the part appears centered on the bed. I would try adjusting the Probe Offsets for X/Y so that it probes exactly in the center of the bed.
theres a couple ways of doing this but for a quick way is take some masking/painters tape and make an + on the bed. a…
