We had previously tested ExecBeat with Elasticsearch 5.x but not 6.x . As I could see that there have been no commits to this repository for past some time. Wanted to check if this is still maintained? And does it support Elasticsearch 6.x ?

Doesn't look like it's still maintained, but we are using it in 6.x and didn't have any problems with it.

First of all, sorry for no updates for a long time, I just restarted the work on the beat and currently creating a release for 7.0.x I'm wondering if you are still interested in a version supporting stack version 6.x or if you have already upgrade to 7.x.

Hey @christiangalsterer . Thanks for your message. But currently we are not using Execbeat. However, I have a feeling if this is working fine then many people would like to use it for solutioning.

Hey @christiangalsterer , would be glad if you could release a new version to support 7.X.X Elasticsearch. I'm getting below error message while connecting to elasticsearch version 7.8.1

Connection error publishing events(retrying): Connection marked as failed because the onConnect callback failed. Could not load template:

I just started to work on a version compatible with 7.x. As there was no activity for a longer period of time, there are quite some changes to apply, but I'm confident to make it happen, see also #37.
