Update the three answers about autocomplete to differentiate between the two "mantles" of usage for autocomplete: on/off and token. Details about the use of autocomplete are in a comment on the first issue.

  1. Is the use of autocomplete="" obligatory on input fields?.
  2. Is adding an autocomplete="" attribute on fields enough to pass 1.3.5 - Identify Input Purpose?
  3. Is adding an autocomplete="off" or autocomplete="on" attribute on the tag enough to pass 1.3.5 - Identify Input Purpose?

"More information" in answers two and three link to the HTML spec for the list of tokens. Might be better to link to WCAG's list: 7. Input Purposes for User Interface Components
