I don't want to immediately remove boards from the list when they go down because they often go back up again, and I'd rather they not be missing from the list until the next time I manually update it. But I often get reports of these boards being down while waiting. Would it be useful to add an auto-maintained list of boards that have been spotted down?

I couldn't check ssh://, gopher:// or .onion links though, and sometimes sites are dead when they should be listed as alive (4chan for example, probably didn't like my script's headers)
