Gitter migrated to Matrix

Gitter has fully migrated to matrix, meaning that the Gitter api no longer works. You are now required to use the Matrix Client-Server api to interact with Gitter.

I noticed that this is not reflected in the Gitter wiki page for Apprise. I would like to request that the wiki be updated mentioning this change, and direct users to the Matrix docs instead.

Perfect, i created #835. I think what needs to happen is the gitter:// just needs to be updated to wrap the already existing matrix:// plugin, but save the user from setting all of the fixed variables (like hostname, etc). Basically update the gitter:// plugin to still work, but under a new schema.
