The light grey horizontal rules above and beneath each accordion do not contrast 3:1 against the page background. I assume they are regarded as helpful in indicating the accordion scope both when collapsed and expanded? The wording of Non-text Contrast states that "Visual information required to identify" user interface components must contrast at least 3:1 against the page background. While I think it is possible to argue that the chevrons are the indicators of the accordions (as well as the hover effects), I think it's also easy to make the case that these horizontal rules help users. Has there been any exploration of increasing the visual affordance provided by these? Even if they don't make it to 3:1, a bump in the grey would likely be beneficial to most.
