[chrome] after reading and closing, unable to highlight text on the page again

When I read a section of a page then I press ESC and Squirt goes away, I am not longer able to highlight any text on the page. 👎

OSX 10.11.4

After installation, things got a bit weird... (using chrome 50.0.2661.102 m (64-bit)) I would run squirt and a new blank window would open. Squirt didn't run, it was just a blank window - then highlighting became a problem - anywhere i'd click on the page, it would highlight text and objects from a fixed, random point on the page - if clicked somewhere else, it would still highlight the same starting point.

Also lost the ability to scroll using the mouse wheel.

Also, the insert key became a "paste" key (pasting the last thing on the clipboard when pressing insert)

Also, even though num. lock was on, the number keys acted like arrow keys.

There are probably more symptoms I haven't found, just a clusterfu-- of things going wrong at the same time.

It doesn't happen every time and I can't seem to reproduce the bug...

This happens to me as well and I switched to a different bookmarklet until it is fixed.

This repo has not been updated in 4 years ... So I guess @cameron Abandoned the project 👎

Can anyone give the new app they are using so we can move to a better on?
