I often need to switch language for a single website, not for all tabs.
For instance I want my webmail to stay in English even when I test my website under another language.

Good point.

I'm not sure of a clean way to do this, since the helper text on the icon can only be set globally. If you had two side-by-side windows with two different languages set, then the badge text would have to be the same on both, and thus, wrong on all but one.

But maybe that wouldn't feel too bad in practice? I'll experiment with that. Do you have any other ideas?
