More user-friendly page titles #22
Comments
Hi @peterjc , I'm new to this all of this but I would like to give it a try. I've forked the repository already. Shall I go through the 'wiki' folder and edit the title tags of every .md file that hasn't been touched in 9 months? |
That sounds good @Gasta88 - are you happy to submit this as a pull request? |
I could do that. Sorry for the dumb question but should I create a PR for each file that I edit in the master repository? |
Sorry, I should have said. One big pull request would be easier for me - see #113 - and if that's accepted and you find more things to fix, a second pull request would be great. |
Apologies, I figured that out later. I've commented the biggest PR and I'll address that until sorted. |
Most page titles fixed with #113 - can we close this issue or are there any more pages which need clearer titles? |
Currently all the YAML header sections have the original wiki page name as their title, e.g.
http://biopython.org/wiki/Seq
https://github.com/biopython/biopython.github.io/blob/master/wiki/Seq.md
We could go over all the pages and expand the
title:
strings to be more user-friendly - these will get rendered on the page via the theme.e.g. here maybe "The sequence object, Seq" or something like that might be better?
