Maintainer wanted! #26
Comments
I'm using it right now but I did see other contributors for V0.9. You should ask them too since they are actively using it. If no one gonna do it, I can take over the maintenance |
I've been using it too, i can help. |
So what's up ? It woul'd be sad that this repo were abandonned since it is relatively popular (I followed http://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/metrics-cocktail-statsdinfluxdbgrafana) and since influxDb has update (tags !). Is there someone who coul'd merge tags support PR ? |
Any word on this issue? I've been testing StatsD + InfluxD combo and seems to work quite well. This project needs to live on :) |
@bernd I can fully understand you no longer wanting to steer this project. I would appreciate though if you can name a new maintainer that will step up to steer this project. There's a number of forks out there (https://github.com/bernd/statsd-influxdb-backend/network) that added much needed features (InfluxDb v0.12 support, tags). I think @CodeKingdomsTeam fork looks pretty solid and there's been a couple of people that volunteered to take over in this thread as well. |
Just wanted to add that @gillesdemey fork looks pretty complete as well! |
My fork has been running on our production stats machine for a few months now so I dare say it works reliably. I'll try to isolate the commits and merge them upstream so we can at least have support for Influx 0.12+ and tags. |
I can confirm that @gillesdemey fork works nice also with v0.13. @gillesdemey for president ? 😝 |
Thanks all for the feedback and sorry for the unresponsiveness from my side. @gillesdemey Would you like to takeover maintainership of this project? Let me know and I will add you as a contributor to GitHub and npmjs. |
@bernd if @gillesdemey isn't up for it, you can add me. |
I am looking for a maintainer for statsd-influxdb-backend because I am currently not using statsd and influxdb at all. This makes it hard to test changes and decide on architecture topics.
Please let me know in the comments if you are using it and are willing to take over maintenance.
Thank you!
