No network power issue

Using the AE2 first time in SB2...I have two connectors not even a 80 blocks apart that short the AE2 grid...my power grid itself is not showing a sudden spike in power demand of any kind.

I get the no network power error.
These issues render the mod obsolete and I hope its not a feature.

Please advise.
