Currently, there is no way to check the queries sent to the datastore when making API calls. It would be useful if we can see them as part of the logs.

PostgreSQL and CockroachDB currently show SQL queries at debug level. We'd have to check the other datastores to determine if it's supported.

Spanner support was added in #2181
