Hey,

Firstly, I would like to express gratitude for the great library!

We rely on it a lot in our code and sometimes get a Wide characters are not allowed error, but then some time is spent locating which character has induced the error.

I believe it would be nice to get some more information about the error. For example:

Wide characters are not allowed. At the position 4963 this character was found: ’

I know this is a trivial change, but I hope it would make the library more user-friendly.
