Restore Mealie database *after* upgrading to 1.0.1 (03-01-2023)

So - I had Mealie on auto-update and after the update mentioned in the subject, it is unaccessible. As expected after reading the release notes 😏
Is there a way to do the backup-restore procedure without being able to start Mealie or would I need to restore the entire HA instance and then follow the recommended procedure?

I managed to do a partial restore within HA, so now it is running again 😊
