Suggestion: change default alpha in compet_talisman()

Thinking about compet_talisman() and I wonder if we should change the default to be alpha = 0. That seems more sensible as it turns off the T_e parameter by default and the T_e parameter is unrelated to competitiveness. Currently, alpha = 1 by default, which weights the two T_* pieces equally.
