UI: Somewhere, show the number of points currently being shown on the map

We show the number of results matching the data filtering from the left panel, but not the total number matching all filters (i.e. the chart date range filter).

There are several things that affect how many points are shown -- chart date range, animation, and map viewport. Would / should those also affect what is displayed?

I think the two analysts who requested this just wanted to know how many points were shown on the map, not necessarily just in the current viewport. I didn't even consider animation, though -- I guess that should also change the number.

I would consider this low priority if it's not a trivial change.

This was a critical feature for one user and they were very unhappy it was not available.
