Some players find it difficult to enter the /global and /local command every time

They are more used to typing "!" at the beginning of the message for global, and for local without "!" at the beginning.

This feature would be very useful, I would be very grateful if it would be added.

I've never heard of this before, lol. Channels are user customisable, not hardcoded so this would be a bit of a pain to add tbh - and it goes against the spirit and spec of commands in Minecraft. Is /g (message) not fast enough? You can define shortcut commands for this purpose.

Hmm, I do not know, I can say that I speak for the Russian servers, they use this and the players are not used to using commands for global or local chat.

Hmm, I guess it could be added as an optional parameter.
