[Feature Request] Bring in the new SteamDeck UI updates from the other Source 1 games #540

Recently, all of the main Source 1 Games got a series of updates to their engines that added a new gamepad UI for the SteamDeck, Vulkan support (via dx9vk), and a few QOL fixes to various other areas.

As of right now, these are not available on the Source SDK 2013 Base engine binaries, rendering any current mod potentially incompatible with the SteamDeck.

Is there any chance of getting analogous updates to the 2013SP and MP bases? This could allow for more interesting UI design and allow for SDK2013 mods to played on the SteamDeck.

As someone who uses an ultrawide monitor, this would also be appreciated. Anything >16:9 causes the on screen text (such as chapter titles or messages in maps) to be cut off and often unreadable (if they're rendered at all). Using the new HUD aspect ratio clamp settings fixes that.

Upvoting this as this would also help make Steamdeck support for community-made mods released on Steam that utilizes SDK2013 as a base.

The Steam Deck UI can be modded in with this repo: https://github.com/Joshua-Ashton/HL2-GamepadUI
