Reverting from a video resolution change in gaming mode settings does not do anything. #1715

  • Steam client version: 1730853027
  • SteamOS version: 3.6.20
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: Yes
  • Opted into SteamOS beta?: No
  • Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: Yes

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

When you change to a video resolution, there is a 7 second timer where if you do nothing, it will change back to the working resolution you had before. With this issue, if you let the 7 seconds elapse, it does not actually change back. It stays at the resolution and you have to manually select the resolution to change to. Defeats the purpose of a failsafe timer.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Change to a different video resolution in gaming mode video settings.
  2. Watch timer elapse and not change back to the original resolution.
