Proposal to rename this repo from socis_website to socisca. The following things have to be updated

  • package.json
  • README
  • Footer
  • Dockerfile

What do you think @MarshallAsch?

Why rename to socisca? why not change it to website and rename / archive the old website repos?

Its mostly a personal preference on style choice. I used to name all my website repos Website, but found that when I cloned them, there was a conflict because the name Website was already taken by another project, and had to put it in a folder that didn't match the repo name. Ive also encountered this issue with Firebase and Mongo, where you have two projects both titled Website, so I had to change one.

Since then, I've seen people use the url of the site as the name of the repo and personally found that its a good way to distinguish between different website projects, act as a form of self-documentation, and allows you to adhere to one type of branding (name) across applications.
