[UI]: Using the version dropdown for older version selection isn't being adhered to unless you activate the older version of an extension #254

The highest version is automatically selected instead. Is selecting old versions desirable? Yes, for testing purposes (comparing versions). Is it satisfactory that the old version should thus be explicitly activated in order to achieve this? It makes it very explicit that a specific version is required, but saving that to an extension config will not make that demand persistent, so this is confusing.
