A description of relevant model settings:
When I compile the VIC Image driver either from a gitclone or a wget of the tar.gz file (specifically version 5.1.0), the reported version of VIC is "5.0.1 February 1, 2017" rather than 5.1.0. This is reported in the VIC simulation logs and the VIC output file itself.
The VIC developers copyright is reported as 2021, so I assume it is indeed version 5.1.0, but is this an intended feature or should VIC be reporting the correct version? It would be nice to know explicitly which version has installed.
