Alternative to FCEUX or ways to modify core button mapping

Hi,

FCEUX on the v90 seems to be set up to open the menu when pressing : L&R or the menu button, or Start & Select.
Some of the roms that I'm using (music trackers and sound tools) use Start&Select for something else so it makes it unusable that it also opens the menu.
Is there a way to change that?

Also, I wouldn't be against trying a different emulator if there was any as some of the weirdest NES roms I got are super buggy in FCEUX.

If you're talking about standalone fceux then there's no way to change it without modyfing src. However if you're on 2.0.0 release, you could reuse one of the NES cores (FCEUmm or QuickNES) and change or disable "Menu Toggle" in the hotkeys settings of RetroArch.

Thanks, I'm doing everything on 1.3.3 as I'm on a mac and can't seem to make it to connect properly in 2.0.0
it's easier to experiment with easy access to the sd card. I'll try everything on the 2.0 at a later stage.

Since I was able to properly use the 2.0.0, I could try with retroarch, it seems to be working fine there, I'll keep trying different cores / standalones since some of these music tools roms are picky.
