Whoah! :D Now that's a blast from the past! *^_^* And an ambitious one, too! ;) Diablo 2 is a Windows game, originally. So there's no chance using the original release of the game on Miyoo. It would have to be a Linux/ARM port of the game -- community created. There was a Mac port of Diablo 2, but that would have been way before Mac OS was Unix-like, in the days of Mac OS 8-9, I'm guessing. Edit: Actually, I'm wrong. It seems there was a late release of Diablo 2 for Mac OS X! If only they had released the source for the game. |

Yet! ;) But it will be in the future. ^_^ But yeah, I know how you feel... There are many games I would have liked to be able to play on my PowKiddy, too. But no portable gaming device can play everything, and Miyoo devices do a pretty darn good job -- thanks to continued, open community effort -- of supporting/playing a LOT! :D |

You also have the problem that Diablo 2's graphics are prerendered raster graphics, and designed for a 640 x 480 screen resolution. The game would look, feel, and play very different on a 320 x 240 screen, unless you scaled it down (since this is exactly half the resolution the game was designed to run on). It's also a DRM-encumbered game, unfortunately. :( Blizzard hasn't been very generous. |

Diablo 1 was released for PlayStation, @MiyanoOsu: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diablo_(video_game) Since it's a prerendered, 2D game, I'm sure it will be quite playable in PCSX-ReARMed on Miyoo! :D ^_^ |

Another thing I didn't consider (or forgot) is that Diablo (with the exception of the PS port) and Diablo 2 are actually mouse-controlled games -- which doesn't sit well at all with portable gaming, with Miyoo devices. |

Hmm! Incidentally, a lot of these games had PlayStation ports! Warcraft 2 and Diablo 1 were ported to the PS1, and The Sims 1 and Age of Empires 2 were ported to the PS2. 🤔 |

I see, i only want to play diablo2 on miyoo, but so much problem and rewrite engine also hard so much. Yeah maybe i will play it on pc, i dont like another game in the same timeline. |

Probably best to play it on PC with a mouse, yep. That way you'll get the authentic experience, and may actually have a chance at finishing/beating the game. Yeah, Diablo 2 would need more than an engine rewrite to get it to work on Miyoo. It would need new UI graphics, a new control scheme (using a gamepad instead of a mouse), a changed viewport (to fit a half the resolution screen than what the game was designed for), and an open-sourced engine. It almost needs to be re-written/re-programmed/re-designed from the ground up. It would be a huge undertaking. The alternative would be to simply scale it down to half the resolution and use the D-pad to control the mouse, like you said, but I really don't think that will make it playable. You'll hardly be able to see what's on screen, let alone click it. Even Warcraft 2 feels really awkward to play on PS this way (moving the mouse cursor with the D-pad) -- and there the overall graphics and click areas are actually much larger, and the gameplay is a lot slower. The closest thing to having Diablo on the Miyoo is that unique, PS port of Diablo 1. |

Just tried Command & Conquer: Red Alert on the PlayStation (another Windows game from this era that makes heavy use of the mouse). It has the same control scheme, with the D-pad controlling the mouse cursor, and god the controls are awful! The units to click are so small, and the action happens so fast, it's practically unplayable. These games were really designed to be played on a PC (on a larger screen), using a mouse. Edit: Desperados is another such game. Brilliant, but you really-really need a mouse to play it (and a relatively large screen)... |
